EPDM stands for ethylene propylene diene rubber. In our universal replacement tile, this elastic material forms the flexible areas shaped to the existing roof profile.
Why not make the whole tile rigid?
A rigid, preformed replacement is fixed to a particular geometry. Our combination of aluminium and flexible EPDM areas allows adaptation to different profiles within the intended application range. The tile still needs to be fitted correctly.
The flexible parts replace neither the hook fixing nor the roof assessment. The material name alone also cannot support a blanket guarantee of service life or watertightness.
