A roof hook connects the load-bearing roof structure to the mounting rail of a solar installation. In our system it is fixed into timber. The replacement tile closes the mounting point in the roof covering; it does not replace the structural fixing.

Two hook types, different connections

Hook typeAvailable variant
Perpendicular90° connection, 11 mm slot
ParallelHeight-adjustable, 9 or 11 mm slot

The choice depends on the intended rail connection and installation situation. Slot width is a variant within the hook type, not a separate third system.

The tile and hook have different jobs

Loads from the PV mounting structure pass through the hook into the timber. The reinforcing tab on our replacement tile relates to its support and own weight. It must not be interpreted as a permissible PV load on the tile below.

Our hook is available as a set with the replacement tile or separately. Use with other manufacturers’ replacement tiles requires a compatibility check for the particular project. Our installation guide governs fixing, spacing and installation steps.

Based on our March 2025 data sheet and November 2025 installation guide. This article explains the system; it does not replace project-specific design or the installation guide.
