Load transfer describes how forces pass from one component to the next. For a PV installation, the path from modules through the mounting structure into the load-bearing roof must be planned clearly.
What carries the load in CLEVER-TILE ®?
The PV mounting structure is secured through our roof hook into timber. The replacement tile provides the transition in the roof covering. It must not be confused with the structural fixing.
What is the reinforcing tab for?
The tab supports the replacement tile and may transfer its own weight onto the tile below. This does not mean that the roof tile is intended to carry photovoltaic loads. These two functions must be considered separately.
This article gives no general load rating in kilograms: design depends on components, fixings, roof construction and the relevant actions. Our product documents and project-specific design govern the actual installation. Connection variants are listed under roof hooks.
