Clay roof tiles are made from clay and fired. This distinguishes them from concrete roof tiles. On site, the word “tile” is often used for both. When choosing a product, it should be clear which covering element is meant.

There is more to a replacement tile than the material

The existing profile, interlocks and overlap help determine how a replacement fits the roof covering. Two clay tiles can differ significantly in these respects. Conversely, tiles made from different materials can have similar cover dimensions.

Our universal replacement is therefore not limited to clay tiles. According to the data sheet, it is suitable for the majority of common roof tile types in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The standard version covers widths up to 300 mm and lengths of 300–390 mm; geometry must also be checked.

Useful information for an enquiry

Manufacturer, model and actual cover dimensions are more useful than a general description such as “red tile”. These details help us assess your question more precisely. Go to product selection and enquiry.

Our articles explain the differences between clay roof tiles and concrete roof tiles. Specifications for our replacement are in the product documents.
